Glossary of instruction fields

  1. Survey questions: If you want to gather data in a quantitative, structured form (like age, gender, Industry), you can add survey questions in the beginning of the interview

  2. Research objective: The instruction for the AI moderator that it will use to determine what questions to ask

  3. Max questions: The total number of questions that will be asked for an interview with a participant to be marked as Complete

Creating a Research objective

For our AI interviewer to work, you have to set an objective you want the interviewer to work towards.

Make sure that the following information is present in your objective prompt:

  1. Client or research recipient (e.g. Unilever or UK Department of Health)

  2. Target interviewee/participant ( e.g demographics, role, relevant experience)

  3. Product Segment (e.g the industry you are in and the product or service you provide)

  4. Key Questions you want answered

  5. Specific focus areas ( the direction you want the interviewer to go deeper into)

Here's an example of an objective prompt:

Objective: To understand the purchasing behaviour and decision-making processes of millennials in the health and wellness sector.

Target Interviewees: Millennials (ages 25-40) who have made a health or wellness-related purchase in the past six months.

Product Segment: Health and wellness products, including fitness equipment, nutritional supplements, and wellness apps.

Key Questions:

  1. What specific health or wellness products have you purchased recently?

  2. Can you describe the reasons behind choosing these products?

  3. How do you typically research and decide on health and wellness products?

  4. What factors (price, brand, reviews) most influence your purchasing decisions?

  5. Where do you usually make these purchases (online, in-store)?

  6. Have your purchasing habits in this sector changed over the past year? If so, how?

Specific Focus Areas:

  • Influence of social media and online reviews

  • Role of brand loyalty and product quality

  • Impact of COVID-19 on purchasing habits

  • Preferences for online versus in-store shopping

Message Limit / Max messages

Below the objective prompt, you can limit the bot to a certain amount of questions. These are the number of questions you want your bot to send before completing the interview and fetching insights.
