Diary Study Campaign

Diary studies allow you to collect data from participants over an extended period, capturing changes and patterns over time.

Creating the Menu Interface

The key to an effective diary study is creating a menu that participants return to for each new entry:

  1. Create your first question as a menu with options for different types of entries

  2. For example, set up options like "Social media scroll" and "End of day log" as shown below:

  1. Label this question with a star (⭐) and name it "Menu" to make it clear this is the navigation hub

Implementing Diary Loops

To allow participants to make multiple entries, you'll need to set up loops using routing logic:

  1. Create your diary entry questions (Questions 2-5 in our example)

  2. At the end of each entry flow, add logic that routes back to the menu

  3. For example: "When Question 4 contains 'Nice!' then go to Question 1"

  4. This creates a loop where participants can complete an entry and return to make additional entries

The beauty of this structure is that each completed journey through the loop creates a new row in your results, allowing you to collect multiple entries from the same participant.

Setting Up Reminders

Keep participants engaged by scheduling automated reminders:

  1. Navigate to the "Scheduled Messages" section

  2. Click "Create New Schedule"

  3. Set the frequency (daily, weekly, etc.) and timing

  4. Craft a message encouraging participants to log a new entry

  5. Select the participants who should receive reminders

Analyzing Diary Results

Each entry will appear as a separate row in your results, with timestamps showing when entries were made. This allows you to analyze patterns over time and track changes in behavior or attitudes.
